Private label & custom development
We develop and manufacture private label leather goods for brands, retailers and online sellers. OEM — we make your design. ODM — we adapt an existing pattern of ours to your specification. Either way, sampling comes first and nothing enters bulk production until you have approved a physical sample.
We develop private label leather goods for brands and retailers. Send us a technical pack, a sketch, a reference sample or even just a photograph — we will tell you honestly whether we can make it, and what it would take.
What we can make
- Belts — full-grain and vegetable-tanned, cut to your width, thickness and hardware specification.
- Handbags — totes, shoulder bags and structured styles in top-grain and full-grain leather.
- Wallets and small leather goods — bifolds, card holders, long wallets.
- Footwear — currently in development; enquiries welcome for future runs.
See the belt collection, the handbag collection and the wallet collection for the construction standard we work to.
Customisation we handle in-house
- Custom dimensions and pattern development
- Leather selection — full-grain, top-grain, vegetable-tanned or chrome-tanned
- Hardware finishing — brass, nickel, gunmetal, antique brass
- Logo application — debossing, foil stamping, woven labels
- Custom colour matching against a swatch or Pantone reference
- Retail-ready packaging and labelling
How a custom project runs
1. Send us the brief
A tech pack is ideal, but a photo or a physical sample works too. Tell us the leather you have in mind, the hardware finish, the quantity and your target timing.
2. Material and hardware confirmation
We propose hides from our tannery partners and confirm hardware options. Where a specific material is required, we source it and show you the swatch before cutting.
3. Sampling
We build a pre-production sample so you can check the pattern, the hand-feel and the stitching before committing to a run. Revisions are part of this stage.
4. Your approval
Nothing goes into bulk production until the sample is signed off. If the sample is not right, we say so rather than quietly proceeding.
5. Production
Each piece is cut, skived, stitched and edge-finished by hand in our atelier, with in-process checks rather than a single inspection at the end.
6. Packing and shipment
Individual dust bags, protective packing and carton labelling to your specification. We ship worldwide and can work with your own forwarder.
Minimums, timing and sampling
Why a small atelier is an advantage at low volume
Low minimums, because we are not running a production line
A large factory has to fill a line. An atelier can take a short run without it being uneconomic — which makes us a practical first supplier for a new label.
You talk to the maker
Questions about leather, construction or tolerances are answered by the people who cut and stitch, not by a sales desk reading from a spec sheet.
Changes are possible mid-stream
Because we are not locked into a line schedule, small adjustments after sampling are usually feasible where a mass producer would charge to re-tool.
What to send us
The more of this you can include, the more accurate our first reply will be:
- A reference — a technical pack, a sketch, a photograph, or a physical sample you want matched or improved.
- Material direction — full-grain, top-grain, vegetable-tanned or chrome-tanned. If you are unsure, the comparison of vegetable-tanned and chrome-tanned leather explains the trade-offs.
- Hardware and finishing — buckle or clasp style, metal finish, edge paint colour.
- Branding — debossing, foil, or a label you supply.
- Quantity and timing — even an approximate range helps.
- Your market — so we can advise on packing and compliance where relevant.
Already have a style in mind from our range?
If you simply want our existing collection in quantity — no development, no tooling — that is covered on the wholesale page, and it is usually the faster route.
